The European Studies summer programme, offered by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), is conducted in English with a focus on the historical development, the economic, societal, political and philosophical dimensions of the European integration project. Furthermore, the course analyses Europe’s role as an international political and economic power and its relations to different countries and regions of the world, in particular with Southeast Asia. A comparative analysis of regional integration in the EU and ASEAN will also be covered.
Based on an interdisciplinary approach, the course combines different methodologies such as lectures, round-table discussions, group work and student presentations, along with excursions to meet politicians as well as professionals.
The programme takes place in Munich (Germany), Prague (Czech Republic), and Vienna (Austria). All participants will receive a partial tuition-waiver worth €500.
