The European Union’s (EU) relations with Asia is on the rise. The EU is amongst the top trading and investment partner of ASEAN and all major Asian economies. The mutual reliance of both the EU and Asia on an open, rule-based order to facilitate economic growth and development means that both sides have a strong interest in effective multilateralism to underpin peace and stability.
The EU Delegation to Singapore invites you to a conversation between Mr Gunnar Wiegand, the Managing Director for Asia-Pacific at the European External Action Service (EEAS) and Ambassador Ong Keng Yong, Executive Deputy Chairman of the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), and former Secretary-General of ASEAN, on what the EU and Asia can do to strengthen their partnership and manage an increasingly complex and contested world.
This event will be held on 8th June, 11:00 – 12:00 at the SMU Administration Building, Level 6, Function Room 6.1 (Click here for location map).
The event is free of charge but you have to register via this link https://goo.gl/forms/nuVjCnKHy4gHl8ZQ2.
