HRD2014EUDelBuilding on past practice, the European Union Delegation to Singapore held a half-day seminar to mark  and raise awareness of Human Rights Day (10th December). This year, the seminar on the 4th December 2014 (Thursday) reflected on the role of the judiciary in the promotion and protection of human rights. The seminar featured prominent Singapore speakers such as Mr Peter Low (Peter Low LLC) and Professor Dr. Jack Tsen-Ta LEE (Assistant Professor of Law, Singapore Management University), as well as the EU Visiting Fellow to Singapore at LKYSPP Mr Xavier Nuttin.

A short report on this event will be published soon.

Please note that the programme above had been changed – Mr Remy Choo Zheng Xi (Peter Low LLC) was the third speaker in the second panel, while Mr. Imesh POKHAREL (Human Rights Officer, Regional Office for South-East Asia, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights) did not speak in the third panel.
