About the Centre

The EU Centre in Singapore aims to promote knowledge & understanding of the European Union, its institutions, policies, and impact on Singapore and the region. We work with different partners to raise the awareness of the EU, its relationship with Asia and its global role through various events, research and policy briefs. The activities of the EU Centre are funded by the European Commission and the two hosting universities– NUS and NTU.

EDUCATION

Students who want to learn more about the European Union and Europe need not leave home with the range of undergraduate study options at three Singaporean three universities, NUS, NTU and SMU. Students can also spend a semester or summer in Europe in the numerous exchange opportunities available. Still, the more footloose and fancy free may want to explore postgraduate studies through the many Masters and PhD courses offered through Erasmus Mundus, a European Commission co-operation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through co-operation with countries outside the EU. Teachers who want to incorporate European Studies in their lessons, particularly at a Junior College or Secondary level, can find a resource kit developed by local teachers for teachers in this section as well.
